Face study done for Game Art Institute's Art Test program led by Ryan Kingslien.
We chose concept art from Dishonored and were to create game-res models within two weeks. Dishonored's concepts are surprisingly subtle in the way they characterize elements of the face. Ultimately, with a massively busy schedule as of late, I was only able to put in about 16 hours total and only able to focus on the face itself, but I learned a ton. At first glance at the Dishonored concepts, areas pop out as being overly exaggerated. But the more you study the concepts, the more subtle you realize the exaggeration actually is.
There are some really low-rent stand-ins for the hair and cloth at the moment. I'll likely use the head as a base to jump into exploring hair production a bit more, as it's one of my weak points at the moment.
